Ok - even though I'm totally used to blogger.com, I'm going to try to blog on my weebly.com webpage - makes sense, doesn't it? Why have more places to post than necessary...

Summertime

Well, today felt like my first official day of summer...and what do I do? Start designing my blog. I have a feeling summer is going to go by very quickly and with the reading material I need to review, websites that need upgrading & designing, and the sheer volume of laminating waiting to be cut out, I need to start today.

I feel the pressure to start a blog to document everything I do in the classroom and quite possibly make my job that much harder to stay on top of....honestly, I'm not sure how all those teachers out there are doing it all. I never quite feel I have a grasp of what's going on - I like to think I look as composed and styled as this lovely lady:

...when in reality, I look & behave more like this:

I am moving from second grade to kindergarten, so not only do I need to complete the before mentioned long list, I also feel the need to bombard myself with other kindergarten teacher blogs, and of course, make myself feel completely inadequate by spending hours pinning things I most likely will never have time to actually do, since 90% of my time is actually spent just pinning. We have to integrate the world of technology (a place I honestly love). So I've designed my website Halvorson's Home, my Symbaloo, and now my blog....a place I hope to post pictures of my accomplishments, show off classroom centers, swap ideas to differentiate learning, and hopefully offer up a good dose of much-needed humor.
